Does everybody have their clothes on today?

I want the world to know that the kids I'm working with are very inteligente. I would like to share a story about a certain little girl named Patty, one that absolutely made my day.

The little subject of this story is the oldest girl at SVP. She's almost 3, so she recently started going to the school that's across the street from the orphanage. We send her off everyday right after breakfast, and although at first she kicked at screamed, refusing to attend, she now goes somewhat reluctantly, but understanding of the fact that she needs to go to school.

The field behind SVP is shared by our kids and the school kids, so when they come play outside for recess in the mornings, we're usually out there too. Naturally, she always runs right over to her comfort zone and plays with us. Eventually she has to go back to school, which is never something she likes.

What would you do if you were her? Well, she certainly had a plan. What would be a way that she could get back into the actual building of SVP? hmmmm....LIGHT BULB.

On this particular afternoon when her teacher called all the children to come inside, she wasn't as reluctant as usual. Fishy...but we watched her walk away toward the school. She got about halfway across the field when all of a sudden, her diaper fell off. Just fell right out there, sir.

Of course. Undo your diaper, make it fall off right at the opportune moment, be forced to come back to the orphanage so that we can change it, and then stall going back to school.

Yep, my kids are brilliant.
